A total of 75 clasps issued to European recipients. Alexander Mackintosh joined the Indian Army as Ensign on 3 July 1807: lieutenant, 14th Madras Native Infantry, 2nd December 1811, Captain, 27th NI commanding Ahmednuggur local battalion, 1st May 1824: Brevet Major, 10th January 1837: retired, 30th September 1837. He served with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Native Infantry at the battle of Maheidpoor, 21st December 1817, where he was slightly wounded. Confirmed on the roll. Comes with confirmation of the above.
