STOLEN – 1903 EDWARD V11 SHILLING
Christopher Eimer has reported the theft in the post, sometime in early July, between the United Kingdom and Spain, of a 1903 Edward VII shilling. The coin is particularly distinctive in being in exceptional condition for the date, pretty much in mint state, with an unusually sharp strike and full beard showing, and with a small but noticeable edge nick at 6 o'clock on the obverse. STOLEN – GEORGE CROSS
Gerald Sim of Hampton, Middlesex has reported the theft of a George Cross stolen on the night of 27/28 April last.
The medal was awarded posthumously to MICHAEL PAUL BENNER, born 14 April 1935 and died 1 July 1957. The medal was displayed in a simple frame along with the citation to the right of it and a photograph of Michael Benner on the left. Below was a photograph of the Gross Clochner mountain in Kals, Austria where the tragedy occurred.
